Ellen DeGeneres Show To Shoot Without Live Audience Due To Coronavirus Scare
With coronavirus rapidly growing and spreading, many production houses are now taking proper measures by either cancelling their shows, postponing it further or even doing changes over COVID-19 concern. In India, even the Bollywood business is getting affected due to the virus as the filmmakers are pushing their release date further due to the outbreak. Not only this, just recently the makers of No Time To Die have pushed the release date from March to November and now Sooryavanshi and ’83 makers are planning to do the same. As the pandemic is taking over the world, we have heard that Ellen DeGeneres’ show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show will not have any live audience.

Ellen’s talk show is usually filmed with the live audience who also interact with the stars but according to the reports in Variety, the show will suspend audience attendance during tapings. “With the rapidly changing nature of the COVID-19 outbreak, and out of concern for our audience attending The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Telepictures will suspend the audience attendance during tapings effective Monday, March 16,” says a Telepictures spokesperson. “This temporary measure will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and will not impact the production schedule of Ellen.”

Similar precautions are being taken in other shows as well. The shows like Late Show With Stephen Colbert, NBC’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night With Seth Meyers, Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, TBS’ Full Frontal with Samantha Bee and Fox News Channel’s The Greg Gutfeld Show, these all shows are taped with a live audience and now they would tape their broadcasts in theatres and studios without a live audience, reported the same portal.
